Sovietzka is a comedy that follows Anat, a young math student who has long denied her "Russian" roots, only to unexpectedly become the voice of her generation (well… specifically, the children of immigrants from the former Soviet Union). This transformation begins when she is filmed confronting a National Insurance clerk who humiliates her father. As Anat gradually embraces her identity through her alter ego, Sovietzka, her family is forced to relive the trauma of their immigration journey all over again.

Directed by Anat Stalinsky (Screams Before Silence), the show features some of Israel's biggest stars, including Suzanna Papian (The Monkey House), Evgenia Dodina (Killing Eve), Daniel Styopin (Kupa Rashit), Gera Sander (Unorthodox), Yoav Rotman (Shtisel), and many more. Produced by ARTZA Productions, the series premiered on Israel’s KAN 11 channel to critical acclaim and received five nominations at the Israeli Academy Awards for Television, including Best Show and Best Writing.
